We use THIS distro in our own office. Most Linux distros run the gambit from bare-bones "Skoda"-type distros that are entirely utilitarian, and geared for use as basic firewall-routers and fileservers, to the metaphorical Hondas and Cadillacs that are meant to be more streamlined, hardier, and more full-featured. No Sabayon videos are on YouTube yet (oddly, since it's the official distro of Compiz Fusion), but this will give you the general idea. There's no difference in function. The only difference is that Sabayon installs it automatically, and with all other distros you have to install it yourself. This Must Take One Powerful Machine! Sure It Looks Great, But How Hard Is It To Use? Sabayon is incredibly simple for new users, but can be modified to be as complex as you like, thanks to the package managers and core engine it is built upon. Sabayon uses RedHat's Anaconda Package Manager alongside Gentoo's Portage core engine to produce a highly powerful, highly adaptable, and highly user-friendly version of Gentoo that has it's own distinct flavor. The interface runs much like Windows XP, and all the Compiz Fusion effects and bonuses are layered on top with easily configurable keypress/mouse combinations. Heck, you can even run Compiz Fusion with a touchscreen, touchpad or Nintendo Wii interface! It's intuitive and simple, despite its incredible power! Sabayon averts 64-bit pitfalls by running 32-bit apps where full 64-bit support is dodgy. Reviews indicate that Sabayon's 64-bit Linux OS is one of the most, if not the most, stable distros out there.

What About Web Browsing and Multimedia? System Requirements
Is This a 32-Bit or 64-bit Linux Distro? Both. This is the hottest stuff out there, so We carry BOTH the 32-bit DVD and the 64-bit DVD. To make sure you get the right OS, please let us know if you need a 64-bit disk. By default we ship a 32-bit DVD, as it will install and run perfectly on both 32-bit and 64-bit machines. I absolutely do NOT want you to be disappointed by accidentally ordering the wrong thing! PLEASE NOTE: All our software is Open Source. This includes both operating systems, and any other software we distribute. This item is in full compliance with the GPL License agreement and we are authorized to distribute this disc and its contents. This CD can be freely installed on as many systems as you like, be that one or one hundred, under the (GNU) General Public License. This disc contains fully operational software that is not limited, trial, shareware, OEM or bootleg. No activation code or key is or ever will be required to use this software. It is legally yours to use as you wish. As Open Source software, our CDROMs and DVDs do not come in a retail box, but. Installation is as simple as inserting the CD and rebooting your computer.
